Mental Health Support During Life’s Major Hormonal Transitions
Women's mental health can be significantly affected by reproductive and hormonal transitions throughout life. Pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and menopause can all influence mood, anxiety, sleep, concentration, emotional regulation, and overall wellbeing.
Unfortunately, many women are told their symptoms are simply stress, aging, motherhood, or something they need to push through. As a result, they often feel dismissed, unheard, and unsupported while trying to navigate changes that have a real impact on their mental health and daily functioning.
At Compass Psychiatric Wellness, we understand that hormonal transitions can affect psychiatric symptoms in complex ways. We provide psychiatric medication management and mental health support for women experiencing emotional and psychological challenges during these
Our goal is to help women feel informed, supported, and empowered while receiving the care they need to improve their quality of life.
How We Approach Women’s Mental Health
Our providers have specialized training in perinatal prescribing and additional education focused on the relationship between hormonal transitions and mental health. We understand that symptoms such as anxiety, depression, irritability, sleep disruption, emotional overwhelm, and difficulty concentrating can become more noticeable during periods of hormonal change.
While Compass Psychiatric Wellness does not prescribe hormone replacement therapy (HRT), we recognize the important role hormones may play in a woman's overall wellbeing. We work closely with clients to manage psychiatric symptoms while supporting them in accessing appropriate medical care and advocating for their health concerns with other providers when needed.
Our Approach Includes
Support during perimenopause and menopause transitions
